HostTPZena: Good evening,
everyone! I'm Zena from TeenPeople.com, and I'm here with the guys of BBMak. The first
single for their sophomore disc, "Out Of My Heart (Into Your Head)" is out now,
and the album will be out soon.
Christian Burns: The album's called Into Your Head, and it'll be out on the
27th of August. It's got 10 songs on it, which are all written by us.
Mark Barry: And we've changed underpants today for the first time in a week.
HostTPZena: We've got lots of questions from our AOL and web users today. Let's get
right to them! From BlueRain00...
Question: Are you planning on going on tour soon? If so, what other artist/artists
are coming along with you? Thanks so much - I love you guys! Tracie
Mark Barry: Thanks Tracie. We're going to be our own headlining tour commencing
October 20. It's a House of Blues tour with a live band. We're doing 25-30 shows around
the US. As far as support, we've not discussed it yet.
HostTPZena: Any dream support acts?
Mark Barry: Probably Stevie Wonder, or something like that.
Christian Burns: Or Paul McCartney.
Mark Barry: See what Michael Jackson's up to.
HostTPZena: From BBMakluver1...
Question: Hey Christian!!! I love you baby! I just want to ask, which do you
prefer, American girls or British girls? Why?
Christian Burns: I prefer American girls. I think because I'm in America. I think
they're a lot of fun.
HostTPZena: From Ginybear...
Question: Hi guys! I love what I've heard so far from the new album. I'm actually
one of your older fans (31) and I was wondering what song if any from the new album is
your favorite?
Mark Barry: If I had to pick one, it'd be "Sympathy" which is probably
going to be a single.
Christian Burns: Either "Sympathy" or "Out Of My Heart."
HostTPZena: You guys can pick your favorite when the album comes out on the 27th! A
comment from BabyBadGirl2005...
Question: I just saw the music video to your new song. It was great! I listen to
you guys all the time. Thanks for being such a great group!
Mark Barry: Thank you very much. It's great to be back in the States. I know it's
been a long time, but we're here now - you've got us guys until the end of the year -
HOORAY!
HostTPZena: From Kizlee7JRT...
Question: What exactly is up with your new hairdo, Christian?
Christian Burns: New album, new wig. Zip it.
HostTPZena: From Jade42005...
Question: Would you ever consider doing a song with fellow Brit Craig David?
Mark Barry: To be quite honest with you, no. It's just different music. He's a
great artist, but it's different music - it wouldn't go.
Christian Burns: We can't talk as fast as him.
HostTPZena: From Sezkoala22...
Question: Mark, when are you and Nikki planning on getting married?
Mark Barry: Don't know - not decided yet. It'll be at least a couple of years.
HostTPZena: From Gertrey...
Question: How long does it usually take you to write a song? (I love "Out Of
My Heart" - it's a kick butt song. :-))
Christian Burns: It varies. "Out Of My Heart" was a particularly easy one
- it took about an hour. Usually, the best songs are the quickest to write.
Mark Barry: "Back Here" took 45 minutes.
HostTPZena: From Run_Away_With_Burnsy...
Question: Hey, What was the last concert you went to and was it good? PS...The UK
still loves ya:)
Christian Burns: We went to see the Goo Goo Dolls the other night, and it was
really good. We just stayed for a few songs. They were in Boston at the Tweeter Center.
HostTPZena: From FairyTalezDntXst...
Question: Hey guys! My name's Karisa and I was just wondering - what's your
favorite part of going into the studio and recording?
Christian Burns: Coming out.
Ste McNally: Finishing the album - going in, recording some good songs, and getting
out on the road.
Mark Barry: When you've been in the studio all day, when you hear the finished
version of the song - you've done it, you've recorded it, you listen to it back and it
sounds great.
HostTPZena: From Hoopster2211...
Question: OK, my question is, in "I'm Not In Love" are you guys trying to
say that the person in the song really is in love and just is being sarcastic or is he
really not in love? Because there are mixed signals being sent in the song. Love ya guys!
Mary
Christian Burns: He's definitely not in love - not in that song, anyway.
Ste McNally: He's going out with a girl, the girl thinks it serious, and the guy is
like...
Mark Barry: Don't go booking the wedding cake!
HostTPZena: From Yuko1801...
Question: What do you feel the difference between when you released your first
album in 1999 and now?
Mark Barry: Good question.
Christian Burns: The main difference is that when we released the first album, we
were just starting off, and the fan base is much stronger now. It's going to make a
difference in the chart position we go in at on the 27th.
HostTPZena: From L2BBMak...
Question: Hi! I just saw you on Saturday in Boston, I was the one with the poster
=)...I was wondering if you are going to release different versions of Into Your Head
in different countries like you did with Sooner or Later. Good luck with
everything!!!
Ste McNally: We're going to put an extra song on the Japanese album. It's only
because the record company says that they want the Japanese people to buy the Japanese
album in Japan, because they can buy the American album cheaper, and then the record
company doesn't make any money. It's purely for the record company's sake.
HostTPZena: From Sissy8057...
Question: Did you keep the change the people threw to you in the "Back
Here"?
Christian Burns: It was my money.
HostTPZena: So you did keep it?
Christian Burns: Yeah!
HostTPZena: From SweetieStarr...
Question: What model is your Fender Sunburst electric guitar that you used on the
road for the last two years?
Ste McNally: It's a 1972 thinline Telecaster reissue.
Christian Burns: Two years before I was born.
HostTPZena: From Abragrrl...
Question: What cologne do you use? I met you a few days ago and you smelled sooooo
good ;)
Mark Barry: I wear Givenchy.
Christian Burns: I wear different ones every day, but it was probably Gucci Envy.
It's very nice. It's quite a nice evening cologne. I've got the new Hugo Boss one for the
daytime.
Ste McNally: I wear two - Aqua di Gio by Armani or Issey Miyake.
Mark Barry: In the daytime, I wear Rococco. It's a good day scent.
HostTPZena: From Farmgrl0825...
Question: Hey guys! This is Maggie from Chicago. I was just wondering how this new
album is different from your previous album and also how many your tracks were written by
yourselves?
Christian Burns: They were all written by us. Some were co-writes, but a lot were
100% by us.
Ste McNally: Lyrically, it's a lot more mature. The production is a lot more rock
n' roll.
Mark Barry: We turned the guitars up and drums.
Ste McNally: We're all a bit older, so it influences our songwriting.
HostTPZena: From ChickaPNutz...
Question: Hey BBMak, you guys ROCK!! I was wondering if you had to live all alone
on a deserted island, what's one thing you WOULDN'T miss? Thanks!
Mark Barry: Traffic jams! I hate traffic jams!
Christian Burns: Airports.
Ste McNally: Can't think of anything...
HostTPZena: From PureHarmony74...
Question: On a serious note, what one aspect stands out the most for you on the new
album? The one thing that fills you with pride? BTW, thanks for forming BBMak. I
appreciate hearing a male group whose talent surpasses any other group I've heard. Am I
biased? ;)
Christian Burns: I think the fact that we've written every song on the album is an
achievement. We didn't have to rely on others to write us hit songs - we did it ourselves.
We're happy about that.
HostTPZena: Time flies - thanks so much for chatting!
Christian Burns: Thanks a lot. We'll see you soon. Thanks for your support.
Mark Barry: It's great to be in America. We've missed America so much, and we can't
wait to see all our fans very soon.
Christian Burns: And check out our website, which is bbmakfan.com, and vote on us
for TRL - it was #7 today, and we want to make it #1.
Mark Barry: Help us!
Christian Burns: Go to bbmakfan.com,
click on the TRL icon, and help three nice English lads who are just trying to get
a break.
Ste McNally: Thanks for all the support, sticking by us. I hope everyone enjoys the
new record. We're looking forward to playing some shows.
Christian Burns: And watch Regis and Kelly tomorrow - we're the house band for the
day.
HostTPZena: Good night!
