Twist: Tell us about your most memorable Valentine's Day.
Ste:
For me, it was probably when I was about 15.  I ran downstairs hoping that I got some cards, and I looked on the doormat and there were no cards.  Just something for my other brothers.  And I was a little bit upset.
Twist: Oh, Ste!
Christian: Mine was when I was about 10 and this girl sent me a Valentine's Day card.  I was at the age when you are really shy.  I remember sneaking it home and reading this letter that was inside, and my mom caught me reading it and said, "What are you reading?" and I got all embrassed and shy.
Mark: When I was about 14 or 15, I got a card from this girl.  But it wasn't a card I could show my mom.  It was full of filthy words, really explicit!  And one of the head teachers at school found out about the card and wanted to see it, so the girl who wrote it grabbed it, ripped it into little pieces and threw them out.  But the teacher got all the bits together and read it, and the girl got suspended!

Twist: Did you ever get any really good gifts on Valentine's Day?
Christian:
I've never received any gifts for Valentine's Day, ever!
Mark: I got a silver ring once.
Christian: A ring?!  I've never got anything!
Ste: I got a helium heart balloon, a big card and some chocolates.

Twist: Do you guys think that giving chocolates and roses to a girl is cheesy?
Mark:
No-I love chocolates!
Christian: I think it depends on how you give them.  I think flowers are classic.  You know, everybody loves flowers, they look beautiful, and people never get sick of that.
Ste: Yea, it depends on how you do it.  You've got to be romantic.   You can't just throw them at a girl and say, "There you go," or give her, like, a Hershey's bar or something.

Rebecca (Twist reader): What do you think is a good way to show a crush you're into her?
Christian:
Just get her a Valentine's Day card and put your name on it.  A lot of people are really shy and they might like somebody and just don't know how to say it.  It's so easy just to get a card, write your name in it, get their address, and send it.  And then once it's sent, it's done!  There's no turning back.

Twist: Say you were dating somebody you really cared about.  What would be the ideal way for you to celebrate Valentine's Day?
Christian:
I'd take her to Paris, the most romantic city in the world.  I'd take her to the Eiffel Tower and carry her up [laughing].  No, I'd just take her for the weekend and go for lovely meals and long walks.  That would be really nice.
Ste: Yeah, I'd go somewhere where there's no one else around.  Get away for some quality time with the one I love.
Mark: Yeah, like someplace by the sea.  A nice dinner by the sea.
Christian: Or an old log cabin in the mountains...
Ste: Somewhere you can just get away from the world and not have to worry about things.

Twist: If you wanted to do something special for someone for Valentine's Day and you had no money, what would you do?
Christian:
I'd sing a song.  Even if you can't sing, just sing anyway.   Serenade the one you love.  That's free.
Ste: Or make them something.  I remember making a paper rose once, because I didn't have any money.
Mark: There are other things that mean a lot more to the person rather than buying some big present.  The little things can mean just as much.
Ste: Yeah, money can't buy you love.

Twist: If you could spend Valentine's Day with anyone in the world. who would it be?
Mark:
Ashley Judd.  She's gorgeous.
Christian: I don't know...there's so many really nice girls.  Denise Richards would have to be one of my picks.
Ste: Well, I just saw Pretty Woman, so I'd have to say Julia Roberts.

Twist: If you're bummed about Valentine's Day, what should you do to take your mind off of it?
Christian:
Just stick The Simpsons on.  Don't watch a movie with a love story or anything like that.  Watch a Jim Carrey movie.
Mark: Yeah, spend time with your mates, go out with your friends.

Twist: Have you ever gotten any Valentines from fans?
Christian:
No we haven't, because last February our record wasn't released all over.  But we want some this year!
Mark: Yeah, hopefully we'll get some this year!
