BBMak Is Right On Track!

We recently had the chance to hang with the adorable Brits of BBMak- Christian Burns, Ste McNally, and Mark Barry-and we chatted 'em up about topics ranging far and wide. These boys are talented, cute, charming, and sweet-and poised for major American success after the critically acclaimed release of their debut pop masterpiece, Sooner Or Later.  They just came down from a high-profile opening slot on Britney Spears' summer tour, and these three are more than ready to take on the world!  Keep reading to get to know the boys of BBMak just a bit better...

TEEN BEAT: What are your favorite things to do?
MARK BARRY: Sleep!  And we all love going home to see our family and friends.   Playing football, going to the gym when we can.
CHRISTIAN BURNS: I like shopping and buying DVDs.  Watching TV-just normal things, things we don't get a chance to do on the road.  Catching up with our friends and family.
STE MCNALLY: I like hanging out with my mates, going on dates with girls-all the things normal guys do.

TEEN BEAT: Do you guys ever go on the Internet?
MARK: Sometimes, yes.

TEEN BEAT: What's the strangest thing you've seen on the Internet about yourselves?
MARK: We see all these silly pictures of ourselves.  People put our heads on other people's bodies.
CHRISTIAN: A lot of people make their own Web sites, and people will put on these silly pictures of us, and we're like, "Ahhh!  Where did they get this picture?   We're making funny faces!"  And some people do drawings of us.

TEEN BEAT: As far as relationships go, what's the biggest misconception girls have about guys?
CHRISTIAN: Girls think that because you're in a band, if you show any interest in a girl, that you're [acting like] a big pop star.
MARK: When I go out with my friends and I meet girls, sometimes they think I'm really stuck up now, because I'm in a band. "Oh, he's in a band, he's changed."   But it's them that have changed; they've changed their opinions about is.   Because we're the same guys.

TEEN BEAT: How have you changed since your success?
CHRISTIAN: I think the only thing that's changed about us is we've improved in our music-our writing has improved dramatically.  We really write a lot better now, it's great.  I think as friends as well, we've become a lot closer.  We've lived together for the last three and a half years, and we're really close.  It's important to have a stong nucleus when you're in a business like this.  You have to be woven tight, and it's important to not let anyone else get between you.  We're really close, because we spend so much time together.  We'll go home, and we won't see each other for two weeks, but we're on the phone all the time.  We live together all the time, and work together-but we do go home and spend time with our friends and families.
STE: If there's anything important, we just solve it.  We might get angry when we get tired, but five minutes later it's forgotten.  We just get on with it-I suppose we're really lucky, because we don't clash personalities.

TEEN BEAT: Is there anything you're splurged on since you made it big?
MARK: We all got a motor bike each.
STE: I bought myself a really expensive guitar-lots of them!  When I was a kid, I was always playing guitars, you know, nasty guitars.  So now I've bought some amazing guitars.
CHRISTIAN: I bought a car, I bought a DVD player, loads of gadgets.  Loads of clothes.  We've treated our family and friends- I could never do that, so it's nice to go out and buy something nice for your mom.  That's the best thing for me, being able to give back after all the years they took care of me.
STE: I bought a house!

TEEN BEAT: If you could take one thing from America back to England, what would it be?
BBMAK: The weather!
CHRISTIAN: And the positive attitudes that people got.  There are a lot of positive people in America.  We really like that.
