the sweet smell of success

This just in: Ste, Mark and Christian, known collectively as BBMAK, have totally taken America by storm!   Their debut single, "Back Here" flew to the top of the charts, their awesome CD is always in your portable player and their summertime tour with Britney Spears has given them the chance to say hello to lots of their most devoted fans.  What could be better, right?  Well, as you might imagine, the BBMak beauties have a lot to say about their success-and you better believe they said it to Superteen!

SUPERTEEN: What do your family and friends back home in England think of your success here in the United States?
MARK: If it wasn't for our families, we wouldn't be here today, because they've been supporting us from the very beginning.
STE: Everyone believed in us when we didn't even believe in ourselves.
CHRISTIAN: It was so hard for us in the beginning-all our friends were out buying clothes and cars and going on holiday, and we didn't have two pennied to rub together.  But we treated it as our job-we worked hard, and our friends know how much we wanted this.

SUPERTEEN: When your album hit the charts, did you treat yourself to anything special?
STE: I've been busy buying new guitars!
CHRISTIAN: I've bought a motor bike, stereo equipment, computers-just everything we've always wanted.  And we all went on a holiday together, to Cyprus, in Greece.

SUPERTEEN: How did you feel the first time you got recognized?
CHRISTIAN: I started laughing.
MARK: It's a very strange feeling.  I remember-I live in England, in Manchester-and I walked into a restaurant, and suddenly, everyone got quiet.
CHRISTIAN: I was in my town, and these five girls started following me everywhere-they started screaming, and I got shy and started laughing.

SUPERTEEN: Did you ever think you'll be this famous?
CHRISTIAN: When we started together, we never thought it would go this far.  We thought of it as a hobby.  But then suddenly, we were doing gigs in front of thousands of people in Japan, and the other end of the world.  Just seeing all these amazing places, working with all these incredible people and meeting such wonderful fans-it's unbelievable.
